3. Collection of personal data when visiting our website

If you only use the website for information purposes, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to visit our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website and to guarantee its stability and security (legal basis: art 6 Abs 1 para 1 lit f GDPR):

3.1. Cookies

Some of the websites use so-called cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser during your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only al-low cookies in individual cases, accept cookies for certain cases or generally exclude them and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Cookies that are required for the execution of the electronic communication process or for the provision of certain functions requested by you are stored on the basis of art 6 para 1 lit f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are dealt with separately in this data protection declaration.

3.2. Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • used operating system
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data will not be merged with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of art 6 para 1 lit f GDPR. The website operator has a justified interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of his website - for this purpose the server log files must be recorded.

3.3. Analysis tools and advertising

3.3.1. Matomo

This website uses the open-source web analysis service Matomo. Matomo uses technologies that make it possible to recognize the user across multiple pages with the aim of analyzing the user patterns (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information recorded by Matomo about the use of this website will be stored on our server. Prior to archiving, the IP address will first be anonymized.

Through Matomo, we are able to collect and analyze data on the use of our website-by-website visitors. This enables us to find out, for instance, when which page views occurred and from which region they came. In addition, we collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browser, and operating system used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases, etc.).

The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user patterns, in order to optimize the operator’s web offerings and advertising. If a corresponding agreement has been requested (e.g. an agreement to the storage of cookies), the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; the agreement can be revoked at any time.

For analysis with Matomo we use IP anonymization. Your IP address is shortened before the analysis, so that it is no longer clearly assignable to you.

3.4. Plugins und Tools

3.4.1. Google Maps

This page uses the Google Maps map service via an API. Provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

To use the features of Google Maps it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer.

The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and an easy retrievability of the places indicated by us on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of art 6 para 1 lit f GDPR.

You can find more information on the handling of user data in Google's data protection declaration

4. Data security

We use the most widely used SSL method in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser when visiting our website. You can tell whether an individual page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form from the closed representation of the key or lock symbol in the address bar of your browser.

In addition we apply other suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorised access by third parties.

Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

5. Storage period

We only store your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected in accordance with this data protection declaration. However, it may happen that we are legally obliged to store certain data for a longer period of time. In this case, we will ensure that your personal data is treated in accordance with this data protection declaration for the entire period.
